Delegation Trips

In the previous years, the Corporate Service Department of the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce organised a wide variety of exclusive target-group specified delegation trips to Germany to promote bilateral trade relations between Thailand and Germany as well as trade with the entire ASEAN region. A selection of the previous delegations trips can be found below.

2024

GTCC Business & Study Trip to Germany Circular Economy by visiting IFAT Munich 2024 and Exclusive Site Visits

GTCC organized a business & study trip to Germany focused on the "Circular Economy" theme. Thai delegation attends IFAT Munich 2024, the world's leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste, and raw materials management.

The delegation's factory visits included ERLOS GmbH, which recycles and reuses old batteries, and Interzero Plastics Sorting Leipzig GmbH, which focuses on closed-loop solutions and innovative plastics recycling.

 

GTCC Business & Study Trip to Germany "Technology of tomorrow" by visiting HANNOVER MESSE 2024 and Exclusive Site Visits

GTCC organized a Business and Study Trip to Germany themed "Experience Technology of Tomorrow," from 20 to 28 April 2024, featuring HANNOVER MESSE, the world’s largest industrial trade fair. Participants explored cutting-edge innovations in mechanical engineering, electrical and digital industries, and the energy sector, with insights on their applicability to Thailand's industrial landscape. The trip also included exclusive visits to prominent manufacturers such as Daimler Truck AG, SYSTEMA GmbH, Volkswagen – Die Gläserne Manufaktur, and Brose (Hallstadt plant).


2023

GTCC Business & Study Trip to Germany "Electromobility – driver of the future" by visiting HANNOVER MESSE 2023 and Exclusive Site Visits

From April 14 to 23, GTCC organized an exclusive study trip to Germany for Thai delegates focused on electric mobility. Highlights included a visit to Volkswagen's automated production plant in Hannover, BMW and Porsche plants in Leipzig, and Schaeffler's headquarters in Herzogenaurach. The delegate will also visit HANNOVER MESSE, the world's leading industrial solutions tradeshow.


2022

GTCC business and study trip to Germany – "The Future of Healthcare" and MEDICA 2022

A business and study delegation from GTCC visited Germany to explore the future of healthcare. The trip took place from 11 to19 November 2022 and began with a meeting with Thailand’s Ambassador to Germany, H.E. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, in Berlin. The delegation then visited B. Braun headquarters in Melsungen, Fresenius Medical Care in Bad Homburg, and attended MEDICA 2022


2020

GTCC Business & Study Trip to Germany "Organic delivers!” By visiting BIOFACH 2020, VIVANESS 2020 and Site Visits

GTCC organized a delegation trip to Germany on the organic sector from February 9 to 16, 2020, which included both food and personal care products. The delegation program encompasses visits to BIOFACH and VIVANESS in Nuremberg. The site visits include Dottenfelderhof - a biodynamic farm and community, Brauerei zum Klosterhof Heidelberg - an organic microbrewery, and Weleda AG Erlebniszentrum - a renowned organic cosmetics company.


2019

Exclusive Business and Study Trip to HANNOVER MESSE 2019

As one of the most established GTCC delegation trip projects, GTCC organized once again an exclusive business and study trip to the HANNOVER MESSE, the world’s leading industrial show.

The trip took place from March 30 – April 07, 2019 The focus theme for 2019’s delegation was "Integrated Industries – Industrial Intelligence" featuring exclusive factory visits to ZF TRW Automotive GmbH (Koblenz), Mercedes-Benz (Bremen), Airbus Defence & Space GmbH (Bremen) and Porsche (Leipzig).

Exclusive Business and Study Trip on Topic of Animal Production Industry and visiting Eurotier 2018

From 8 to 16 November 2018 GTCC organized a business and study trip to Eurotier 2018, the would leading trade fair for animal production in Hannover and site visit to Dr. Eckel Animal Nutrition GmbH & Co., KG., GEA Westfalia Separator Group GmbH, WEDA Dammann & Westerkamp GmbH and Biogas Plant Heidkoppel GmbH & Co., KG. On the first day of the trip, the delegates were welcomed at the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Bonn to equipping with the background information regarding EU regulations and development on animal production industry.

Exclusive Business and Study Trip to HANNOVER MESSE 2018

As one of the most established GTCC delegation trip project, GTCC organized once again an exclusive business and study trip to the world renewed HANNOVER MESSE, an international trade fair for Industry solutions from 22 April to 01 May 2018. The leading theme for 2018’s delegation was "Industrie 4.0 / Integrated Industry and Energy Solutions" featured with exclusive factory visits to Viessmann Werke GmbH &Co., KG, Mubea Group, Volkswagen (VW) Group - Commercial Vehicles plant, Röchling Group and KSB Pumps.

Exhibitor Delegation Trip to BIOFACH 2018 in cooperation with the Thai Organic Trade Association (TOTA)

For 3 years in consecutive GTCC successfully organized BIOFACH Exhibitor delegation trip in co-operation with the Thai Organic Trade Association (TOTA). This time, the 40-participant group gained an insight into Biodynamic agriculture discipline and adaptation of agriculture machinery for organic farming by visiting “Dottenfelder Schubauernhof - a collective and school for organic farming” and “Maschinenfabrik Schmotzer GmbH” on 12. February 2018.

Exclusive Business and Study Trip to AGRITECHNICA 2017 and Agriculture Machinery Industry

During 12-18 November 2017, GTCC organised an exclusive business and study trip to AGRITECHNICA in Hannover, Germany and two German companies. The delegates were able to visit the sites of CLAAS, KGaA mbH and KWS SAAT SE to gain insights into the German agriculture machinery industry. Over the course of three days, the delegates were able to explore all the facets of AGRITECHNICA 2017.

Exclusive Business and Study Trip to EMO 2017 and Metal Industry

GTCC organised an exclusive business and study trip to the leading metal fair EMO 2017 and several companies operating in the metal industry, from 13 to 22 September 2017. Besides visiting the sites of Robert Bosch GmbH, KLEINER Stanztechnik GmbH, Schuler Group, EMAG GmbH & Co. KG and PHOENIX CONTACT Deutschland GmbH, 18 Thai delegates had three full days to explore the newest trends in the metal industry at EMO 2017 in Hannover, Germany. Furthermore, the delegates also visited the Mercedes Benz Museum.

GTCC Exclusive Business and Study Trip to HANNOVER MESSE 2017 and Industry Site Visits

During 22-30 April 2017 GTCC organized an exclusive business and study trip to HANNOVER MESSE 2017, as well as several automation site visits. A total of 27 Thai delegates experienced site visits at KUKA, TRUMPF, M. Preymesser GmbH & Co. KG, Mercedes-Benz Museum and Porsche AG. Delegation Trip – BIOFACH 2017 in cooperation with the Thai Organic Trade Association (TOTA)

On 13 February 2017 the GTCC, in co-operation with the Thai Organic Trade Association (TOTA), successfully organized an exclusive visit to the Bavarian State Ministry for Food, Agriculture, and Forestry. Within the framework of the BIOFACH2017, Nuremberg, the delegates were informed about the nationally recognized Bio label (‘Bio-Siegel’). Furthermore, the delegates visited the certified guesthouse “Hörger Biohotel”, and “Riedenburger Brauhaus”, a traditional Bavarian Brewery using an organic method of beer brewing.

Study Trip to K 2016 and Exclusive Rubber and Plastics Industry Site Visits in Germany

Organised from 16 to 23 October 2016 by GTCC, the delegation trip featured a three-day visit to the world’s premier fair for the plastics and rubber industry K 2016, as well as site visits to Evonik Industries AG, Covestro AG, Harburg-Freuden berger Maschinenbau GmbH and the Institute for Plastics Processing (IKV) at RWTH Aachen University.

Study Trip to Germany on “Sustainable Production in Tapioca Starch Industry Supply Chains”

From 1-7 May 2016 GTCC in cooperation with National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) under the support from Department of Industrial Promotion (DIP) organized an exclusive study trip for tapioca starch industry experts and processers to gain insight into the latest technologies to increase sustainability in tapioca starch production process. The study trip featured visit to Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety, and Energy Technology UMSICHT, GEA Westfalia Separator Group GmbH, Hermann Kröner GmbH, The energy self-sufficient village of Feldheim. On the last day of the study trip, the Thai Ambassador in Berlin had welcomed all delegates and given opportunity for delegates to share experience gained from the trip.

The Exclusive Business & Study trip to HANNOVER MESSE 2016 and Automation Industry, Hannover, Germany

German-Thai Chamber of Commerce (GTCC) organized the exclusive Business & Study trip to HANNOVER MESSE 2016 and Automation Industry Site Visits during 28 - 29 April 2016 with 31 Thai delegates visited SIEMENS, Wieland Electric GmbH, KUKA and FESTO. The idea is to create value for our participants by combining both visits to HANNOVER MESSE and leading German industrial automation companies, in order to gain first-hand insights and experiences.
