GTCC Clean Air Initiative

Most recently we have launched the GTCC Clean Air Initiative (GTCC CAI). After we had sent out a survey on clean air to our members, we formed a Clean Air Initiative Working Group with around 20 participating member companies. This working group drafted a paper on clean air, identifying vehicle transport, buildings, energy, production and agriculture as major contributors to air pollution in Thailand.

The GTCC President, together with Board members and the Executive Director met with H.E. Industry Minister Suriya Jungrungreangkit on 15 December 2020 and introduced the GTCC CAI to the Minister and respectfully submitted a copy of the paper to him. The Minister has pledged to cooperate with the GTCC to promote clean industries, as a mean of reducing pollution problems including PM2.5 and making Thai industry more sustainable. GTCC will promote the Clean Air Initiative in 2021 during our contacts with Thai government representatives, institutions and partners and through several chamber activities in order to further position our member companies with their technologies and products as committed partners in Thailand.
