Le Méridien Bangkok invites wine enthusiasts and culinary explorers to embark on an evening of discovery with El Arte del Vino – The Art of Spanish Wine, a curated celebration of Spain’s most prestigious wine regions paired with contemporary European cuisine. The exclusive dinner will be staged at Tempo, Le Méridien Bangkok, on Wednesday, 8 October 2025, from 19:00 onwards.

 

Guests will be transported from the Mediterranean shores of Catalonia to the highlands of Ribera del Duero and the distinctive vineyards of Bierzo, sampling wines that embody heritage, innovation, and artistry. Each wine featured has been awarded 90+ Parker Points and Suckling Points, a hallmark of exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

A Five-Course Journey Through Spain

Crafted by Le Méridien Bangkok’s culinary team and four acclaimed wineries, the evening promises a sensory voyage of flavours and textures:

 

·        Jamon Iberico cone with tomato air, boqueron tartlet with red pepper and olive puree paired with Lonia Sparkling Cava Brut (Catalonia)

·        Seared scallop with Catalan roasted eggplant & red peppers paired with Clos d’Agon Blanco 2022 (Catalonia)

·        Oven-roasted sea bass with Basque salsa verde paired with Dominio de Anza Finca El Rapolao 2022 (Bierzo)

·        Red-wine braised beef cheeks with parsnip purée paired with Pago de los Capellanes Reserva (Ribera del Duero)

·        Seared duck breast with cherry & red wine reduction paired with Aalto Tinto 2021 (Ribera del Duero)

·        Crema Catalana with citrus and almond tuile, served with coffee or tea

 

Spain’s Finest Wineries, Redefined

The evening will spotlight four of Spain’s most celebrated estates:

 

·        Clos d’Agon (Costa Brava, Catalonia) – Mediterranean elegance and terroir precision, guided by acclaimed consultant Peter Sisseck.

·        Aalto (Ribera del Duero) – Founded by ex-Vega Sicilia winemaker Mariano García, producing benchmark Tempranillo wines.

·        Pago de los Capellanes (Ribera del Duero) – A family estate named among the Top 100 Wineries in the World by Wine & Spirits.

·        Dominio de Anza (Bierzo) – Artisanal, minimal-intervention Mencía from century-old vines, acclaimed for finesse and authenticity.
