Häfele Thailand as part of the Häfele group operates for 26 years in Thailand. As part of sustainable growth strategy and long term planning, in May 2020 Häfele celebrated the Grand Opening of the Extension of their main Distribution Center at Bangna Trad Road KM22.
The 500 Mio. THB investment will contribute to steady growth together with business partners and customers, improve general performance, efficiency, and service levels as well as serve as a regional hub for the Häfele group.
With annual revenue exceeding 4,100 million the Thailand operation aims to retain the top-ranked place within Asia as well as within the global Häfele. That’s why Häfele Thailand complements the rented warehouse space with a custom-built extension turning the main distribution center into the largest warehouse hub in Asia for the Häfele group.
With a focus on efficiency to more significantly enhance service levels and accuracy, the area of the Distribution Center in Bangna increases from 10,000 to 24,000 square meters. During the construction phase, the warehouse systems have been adjusted and developed to support further process enhancement significantly. As the successful leader of Architectural Hardware, Furniture Fittings, Home Appliances, Sanitary, Electronic access systems, and Lighting by following German standards currently there about 22,000 products stocked and readily available in Thailand alone.
Additionally, the extension will feature environment-friendly structures, like a solar roof, improved insulation, and a well-lit work environment.
This modern warehouse was established by considering energy savings as e.g., the effective use of LED lights and the successful installation of solar panels on the roof. The 964 panels of the solar roof produce up to 320 kW at peak performance. Overall will be produced up to 478 Megawatt-hours per year resulting in electricity cost-savings of up to 2 Million THB/year while reducing a carbon footprint of 467.2 tons/year. Häfele is proud to contribute to reducing global warming as well as pollution sufficiently and is looking forward to receiving the Silver DGNB Award by the end of 2020 for this environment-friendly and sustainable project.
