On November 9, 1989, the Fall of the Berlin Wall took people by surprise and paved the way for the German reunification after 40 years of separation into East and West. A pivotal moment in history that broke grounds for Berlin’s future and the future of Germany and whose effects were noticeable in Europe and around the world.
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall, Goethe-Institut Thailand, Alliance Française and the German Embassy will be organizing a variety of film screenings, exhibitions and talks on November 9th, 2019.
Among others, contemporary witnesses will share their experiences, offering different perspectives on the past. Furthermore, it will be possible to view original wall segments, and a tuk-tuk-service will facilitate easy transfer between the three institutions.
