Baden-Württemberg Forum Bangkok
The German-Thai Chamber of Commerce (GTCC) supported Baden-Württemberg International (bw-i) in organizing the Baden-Württemberg Forum Bangkok on Monday 28 April 2014 at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Center (BITEC).
The opening session included an opening speech by Dr. Nils Schmid MdL, Deputy Minister President and Minister of Finance and Economics of the State of Baden-Württemberg. In addition, the event featured a keynote from Ms. Duangjai Asawachintachit, Deputy Secretary General, Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) and Mr. Ron Varun Lowe, Vice Secretary General, Thai Machinery Cluster, The Federation of Thai Industries (F.T.I.).
The Baden-Württemberg Forum Bangkok was a conference focusing on “Customised Automotive and Production Engineering Solutions from Baden-Württemberg for Thailand”. German experts from Baden-Württemberg introduced their respective company and institution, presented their products, services and technologies, as well as allowed for individual discussions and match making opportunities with interested Thai companies parallel to the event.
The event was as a further step to increase the cooperation between Thailand and the State of Baden-Württemberg, Germany within the framework of Automotive and Production Engineering. Here, the experiences from Germany could prove very valuable for the Thai context. This Baden-Württemberg Forum in Bangkok was part of an event series that hold in various emerging markets around the globe showcasing the strengths and potential of the State of Baden-Württemberg as an innovation center in the Automotive and Production Engineering sector.
