New Pandora Factory in Lamphun, Thailand Awarded LEED Gold Certification
The new factory of Pandora Production Co., Ltd. - the world's largest jewelry manufacturer - awarded  LEED Gold certification in July 2017. The factory is part of a green industrial lifestyle campus with a total area of 32,000 sqm which comprises of office and administration buildings, a canteen and other facilities.The green concept was designed in close cooperation with the architect of the campus OIA Co., Ltd. and EGS-plan. EGS-plan also provided the energy concept and the LEED certification consultancy.

Plus Energy Factory ELOBAU Awarded German Solarpreis 2017
EUROSOLAR distinguished the Plus Energy Factory ELOBAU with the prestigious Solarpreis 2017. The jury recognized the holistic architectural and energy concept, which enables the building to produce more renewable energy than it needs for building operation like heating and cooling (Plus Energy Standard). The building has already been awarded the "Prom of the year" price in 2013 for its outstanding sustainability concept.The impressive contemporary architecture was designed and implemented by HHS architects, Kassel. EGS-plan has contributed with the energy concept, building simulation, building physics design, photovoltaic design and Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing design.

Pruksa+ House Awarded DGNB Platinum Certification

In close cooperation with unexpected Architects Co., Ltd, EGS-plan developed Thailand's most sustainable single-family house. The project was initiated by Pruksa Real Estate Public Company Limited as a pilot project to assess innovative sustainability features and new technologies. The energy concept comprises efficient wall and roof insulation, shading of windows, walls and roof, an airtight building envelope, LED lighting, ventilation energy recovery and a photovoltaic system, which stores thermal energy in an ice storage for use in the night-time. These features lead to energy consumption which is 75 % lower than a typical Thai middle-class residential building. In June 2017 the DGNB Platinum certification was handed over by the CEO of DGNB Dr. Christine Lemaitre to the MD of Pruksa Mr. Nimit Poonsawat.

EGS-plan's MD Spoke at Thai-German Technology Conference in Bangkok

On 25th of September 2017, Dr. Himmler gave a talk at the Thai-German Technology Conference "Energy Efficiency in Building & Solar PV Rooftop" about "The German Sustainable Building Certification System DGNB Best Practice Example from Thailand". The conference was organized by the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce and attended by more than 80 participants.
