“Clutter Sale for Charity” back by popular demand

Savvy shoppers and bargain hunters will be happy to know that, due to popular demand, the 11th Clutter Sale for Charity, organized by the NewsMakers, will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm at the Grand Ballroom of the Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel. Proceeds will be donated to Chulalongkorn Hospital’s 'Genetic Cancer Research Centre' under the auspices of the Thai Red Cross.

Overwhelmed by the support the event has received, the NewsMakers are organizing this much-awaited event for the 11th year. Featured are more than 70 booths selling primarily second-hand items but in almost new condition, donated and/or sold by VIPs, celebrities and the expat community. Dubbed a “flea market extraordinaire” due to the quality of items on sale that include international designer goods, evening wear and fashion accessories, antiques and vintage items, gadgets, gizmos, sports paraphernalia, home décor, small appliances, novelty items, and gently-used treasures, as well as slightly-used catwalk outfits from prominent fashion houses and company overruns.

The Charity Corner will see goodies priced as low as 20 baht while the Designers’ Corner features donated designer items - bags, shoes, clothing and accessories – donated, in the name of cancer research, by free-spending jetsetters and socialites. Join the Lucky Draw to win fabulous prizes including air tickets, hotel stays as well as spa, food and beverage vouchers, among others.

The NewsMakers, a group of charity-minded creative-thinking individuals, comprise Thailand Tatler editor Naphalai Areesorn; media veterans Netra Ruthaiyanont, MR Usnisa Sukhsvasti and Cora Sukhyanga; public relations professionals Annabelle Daokaew and Somsri Harnsrisawasdi; prominent landscape and interior architect ML Poomchai Chumbala, Naphaporn Burusratanaphan and Melanie Sukhya-nga.
