Technology Dialogue on Sustainable Water Management and Flood Prevention

On September 20, 2012 the „Technology Dialogue on Sustainable Water Management and Flood Prevention“ was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok. The event was organized by the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Embassy of Germany and supported by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.

At the Technology Dialogue 16 German companies and institutions presented their solutions for sustainable water management and flood prevention to some 60 representatives from the business world, administration and science, as well as to other multipliers. Moderated by Christoph Stroschein from the German European Security and Safety Institute, the event provided an opportunity for the participants from private and public sectors to exchange expertise and technologies for a successful flood prevention management.

The Technology Dialogue was organized within the trip to Thailand of Dr. Philipp Rösler, Deputy Federal Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economics and Technology of Germany. Minister Rösler and Surapong Tovichakchaikul, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, held the opening speeches.
